Donations

The Nebraska FBLA Foundation is a 501(c)3 tax exempt organizations and donations can be used if itemizing taxes.   

100% of the donations raised are invested into the Foundation's permanent endowment fund and only income generated is used to support education, leadership, programs and scholarships for Nebraska FBLA.   

Nebraska FBLA is known for developing leaders, and the Nebraska FBLA Foundation wants to recognize and support business students of Nebraska. Nebraska FBLA is continually ranked as one of the top states at Nationals.  Help us keep this tradition strong and support Nebraska FBLA by donating to the Nebraska FBLA Foundation.

OTHER WAYS TO DONATE:

FROM AN IRA - INDIVIDUAL RETIREMENT ACCOUNT

Individuals can contribute up to $100,000 per year from their IRA to a qualified 501(c)(3) charity like the Nebraska FBLA Foundation, tax-free through a qualified charitable distribution (QCD).

  • Eligibility: You must be at least 70 1/2 years old at the time of the transfer.
  • Transfer method: The funds must be transferred directly from the IRA custodian to the charity.  The check comes from the IRA directly to the charity, bypassing the donor.  
  • Tax benefits: The amount is not included in the donor's taxable income and can count towards their required minimum distribution (RMD).

ESTATE GIFTS

To name the Nebraska FBLA Foundation as a beneficiary in your will or trust, you should include the following information:
  • The charity's full legal name and location - Nebraska FBLA Foundation, P.O. Box 183, Syracuse, NE 68446
  • The nature of the gift, such as cash, stock or real property.
  • Directions or restrictions on how the gift can be used.
